Karianwala: The drainage problem at the entrance of the busy Bohar Chowk Market in Jalalpur Sobtian has become increasingly serious after remaining unresolved for several years. Stagnant wastewater and the damaged road are causing severe difficulties for residents, motorcyclists, pedestrians, and local shopkeepers.

The accumulation of dirty water at the market’s main entrance has disrupted traffic and made it difficult for pedestrians to pass through the area. The situation becomes even worse during rainfall or whenever the drainage system is blocked.

Standing wastewater is also creating foul smells and raising concerns about mosquito breeding and the possible spread of diseases. The persistent issue is affecting the market’s appearance and causing daily inconvenience for residents and the local business community.

Residents and traders have urged the local administration and relevant municipal authorities to take immediate action. They have demanded a permanent drainage solution, proper cleaning of the drains, and urgent repair of the damaged road to restore safe and convenient access to the market.
